Proverbs 2:6 NASB

God’s wisdom is so different from the world’s. I sat with a friend yesterday. He is in the middle of a situation where he is being attacked by someone. Not physically but his reputation is being questioned. I heard others with us advise him everything from spreading things about the other person which were very inflammatory and may or may not be true, to suing him for liable. As the others left, he turned to me and asked what I thought he should do. I was wounded for my friend and what was being done to him. I wanted revenge for him but no matter how easy and satisfying it would have felt to tell him to go after it, I reflected back on my reading that morning of Jesus’ words in the Sermon on the Mount. It’s that whole turn the other cheek thing. We see in Matthew 5, Luke 6, and so many other places, where we are told to do just the opposite of what the world says. Today let God’s wisdom reign and watch your story shine.
