Proverbs 26:2 NIV

We have all had untrue things said about us. Usually they are said to hurt us and damage our reputation. Some of the most outstanding followers of God have been targeted by these types of comments. Billy Graham was and still is a role model for me. Before my wife passed away he was the one person she wanted to sit down with and have an hour long conversation. As a side note she now has that opportunity. I almost didn’t include this quote but I want to show how anyone can be the target of hate and false accusations. “Billy Graham was a red-baiting, fear-mongering, anti-semitic, homophobic nationalist, corporatist, crony capitalist and war-monger. He was a friend to overt racists and an ally to wealthy corporatists. He used his massive religious platform to play kingmaker, was one of the architects of the Nixon presidency, and is a patriarch of Evangelicalism and the Religious Right.” This was an article by a very hurting and angry unbeliever. The fact that you never saw this or heard these things is evidence that false accusations have a hard time getting footing on those who live God honoring lives. It can certainly find willing eats but will fade over time. Thankfully our reputations are solidly in God’s hands. Today live a life of integrity and God will manage your reputation. #BeTheEdge

“Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.”1 Peter‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬
