Proverbs 2:7 NIV

I just read an article titled, “Knowing and doing are not related”. It was interesting as the author tried to let us off the hook for knowing the right thing to do but not doing it. Paul understood that battle and put it this way, “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.” (Romans‬ ‭7:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬) Solomon tells us that Paul’s struggle is real. We are responsible to walk in the wisdom and knowledge that God reveals to us. Where the author of the article is trying to relieve us of the responsibility of walking in Gods Truth, Paul admits the struggle with the Law. Although acknowledging that we are free from the Law., we are not free to disregard Gods insights and teaching. Therein lies the distinction between the worlds desire to encourage a life of unrestraint and God’s desire for us to live a life guided by His truth. As our creator He knows best how we can flourish and enjoy the precious gift He has given us. If we believe life is only about here and now then the magazine author is correct but if we are eternal beings created by an eternal God she could not be more wrong…and dangerous. Today walk in the beauty and freedom of God’s revealed truth and be set free. #BeTheEdge
