Proverbs 28:1 AMP

Forgive me, but in my ADD world I pictured 2021 trying to flee into 2022. As followers of Christ, we enter the New Year boldly knowing that not only is God with us today, but He waits for us in the New Year like the angel in the empty tomb waiting to tell the women Jesus has risen. Those ladies trudged wearily down the path in the predawn darkness that first Easter morning expecting a dead leader in a guarded tomb. Their Father in heaven watched with excited expectation knowing what He had in store for them. They were leaving the most challenging and disappointing few days of disillusionment in their lives to finish what they started on Friday evening, embalming their lost hope. He waited, alive and ready, to launch His kingdom on earth through their obedient hearts.

Paul assures us that all we need to do is walk in confident faith, maybe shaken faith at times, but faith, nonetheless. And He waits ready to work in us and with us and through us. President Roosevelt once said, “There is nothing to fear but fear itself.” As followers of Christ, I would boldly declare that He promises there is nothing to fear, period. The New Year is right around the corner. Today, take inventory of your walk with God and boldly look forward to the adventure of the New Year with Him. #BeTheEdge
