Proverbs 28:5 NASB

I have always loved how throughout the Gospels Jesus is seen clarifying misconceptions. He adjusted wrong thinking about others, possessions, sin, and ultimately God, Himself. He set free those who listened to Him and believed and followed His teaching. Mark tells the story of a time Jesus healed a blind man. It was a two-stage healing, the only one in the Bible; Jesus restores a man’s sight, but only partially. That only happens because of Jesus’ presence and touch, but the man is distracted by what is around him. It isn’t until the he focuses completely on the face of Jesus that His vision becomes crystal clear. The reality for us is that we can have a relationship with God that rescues us and progresses no further. However, God offers so much more, if seeking all of Him and His will are the focus of our lives. And as Jay Kessler says, “why would we want to settle for the minimum?” Today, move into the new year committed to pursuing all God desires for your life. #BeTheEdge
