Some of the wisest lessons I have learned have been taught to me by men who do not know the Lord. I almost hesitated to write that sentence as I was typing this devotional thought. The idea that a non-Christian would teach me something about living wisely, dare I say godly, seems almost blasphemous. It is true that a lost and depraved mind can so twist and confuse God’s truth that it cannot always be trusted. However, all of mankind was created in God’s image with that God-spark within. We must always discern and test everything against His Word and the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Truth is truth whatever the source, and God’s light is available to and through all His creation. All that is true and good finds its sole source in the Creator. Today, don’t limit where God speaks from or whom He chooses to speak through.
