Proverbs 31:10 NIV

I have four granddaughters. They are beautiful inside and out and that’s not just a granddaddy talking. They all have amazing, strong mommas. One of the things I love about how they are all growing up from the 16 year old to the 4 year old, maybe especially the 4 year old, is that their moms and dads are raising them to be polite, sweet, gentile southern women who know when to be bold, brave, entrepreneurial and fierce. If that image offends you it shouldn’t. It should inspire you. They will all be world changers who leave a powerful and life giving impact wherever they go. They show that you can be classy, bold and beautiful and excel at ballet, gymnastics, fishing, and drop a deer with a single shot. The word “noble” in this verse is actually a word used almost exclusively in the Bible in reference to warfare. Our daughters and granddaughters are growing up in a world at war. It is a culture that more and more wants them to deny their femininity and strength and exchange them for a role that devalues who they were created to be. Some theologians believe the word noble would be better translated as “forceful”, “mighty”, or “valiant”. Those words much better define my granddaughters and their moms. All of them are accomplished, creative and kind women. The world is better when we align our lives with the plan of our creator. Today encourage Gods powerful warriors and tell your sons to watch out. #BeTheEdge
