Today I took my granddaughter out to the pasture so she could feed and spend some time with her horse. While she did that, I sat in my truck with the windows down on a gorgeous, sunny 68° afternoon, reading a book and listening to some great music. It was an incredibly pleasant afternoon—peaceful as well. In this passage, Solomon is talking about Wisdom. That wisdom is God and His wisdom. He tells us that His ways are pleasant. It also tells us that all of His paths lead to peace. Not some of them. Not even most of them. But all of them. Imagine, as we look at a world filled with wars and rumors of wars, knowing that everywhere we turn under His guidance will lead us to peace—God’s inner, calming, and pleasant peace. This verse is a beautiful promise for those of us who follow Christ and trust His sovereignty to guide and direct every step of our journey as we submit to His wisdom and leadership. Today, let Him lead—and perhaps enjoy a pleasant and peaceful season. #BeTheEdge
