The end of my foot tends to dip as I walk. Every now and then my toe will snag on the ground and I’ll stumble. It is a bit inconvenient, to say the least. Several years ago while climbing down some stairs at the beach, my toe snagged on the step and it snatched at my ankle. I thought it was a pretty bad sprain. Six months later when it still had not healed I went and had it X-rayed. I had pretty well shattered part of the ankle. It healed a bit crooked and to this day I need to wear a hard brace under my sock. I knew how to keep my foot from dropping but my vanity would not let me wear the simple brace to correct it. Now I will always have pain in that ankle and always wear clunky shoes over hard plastic braces. God offers us the ability to travel life with His power and love guiding us carefully along the path with His wisdom. Our pride battles this by convincing us that our own way is better. Today, avoid the fall; listen to God’s guiding voice.
“They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.” Isaiah 40:31b NASB
