We trade the tested and trusted for the expedient and cheap. God has filled a book, a collection of 66 of them actually, with the greatest teachings on the planet. You can find great quotes by Confucius or The Buddha, even very wise ones by Winston Churchill or Gandhi. However, some of my favorite quotes are from Martin Luther King, Jr. The reason is that he would often quote Scripture. The teaching Solomon refers to here comes directly from the mouth of God. The world is full of bad counsel masquerading as wisdom. We all see the wreckage caused by all kinds of bad counsel played out in way too many lives. The world is also full of some good and even great counsel. However, the only source of flawless counsel is from God.
