This is Solomon quoting his dad, King David. Solomon is repeating this now to his son, and God is sharing it with us. This speaks beyond a casual understanding or acquiescence to God and His truth. There are many who identify as followers of God with very little knowledge, understanding, or appreciation for the holy and infallible Word of Truth. The picture here is of getting a life-saving, two-fisted grip that turns our knuckles white. A hold that will not let go. In the midst of that grip, we not only hold on, but we obey what it says, and then we live. The life is not only about duration, but also about quality. A life lived by God’s truth is a beautiful, joy-filled journey in alignment with the call of our Creator. Today, hold on and enjoy the ride. #BeTheEdge
