Proverbs 5:7 NIV

Woohoo! We did it! We won! He rose! It’s all over! Yes, Yes, Yes! Ok. It’s true. The day after Easter we can celebrate Jesus overcoming death and giving us a guarantee of the same for us. Everything the disciples went through for 3 years pointed to that post resurrection moment. The celebration is valid. But. Yep, there it is, the ‘but’. Never did Jesus say if we can just get to the resurrection we are done. We can quit and call it a win. We are now living by what Senik would call the Infinite Game. As true as it was when Jesus on the cross declared ‘it is finished’ something powerful had just begun. Those three words are actually translated from the Greek word tetelestai, an accounting term meaning paid in full. When Jesus rose on Easter He put the exclamation mark on that statement from Good Friday. However we are not saved to sit. Jesus rose and launched His kingdom. The followers, the 11, carried the message of the debt paid in full into the world burdened with its eternal debt and sin. They began a work quietly that today continues to shake the planet. Jesus spent three years planting His truth in the hearts of His followers. Then He sent His Spirit to invade their entire being as He mobilized them and sent them out. We are here today because it didn’t end with the empty tomb. It started there. Today live as though Jesus declares your debt paid, He does, and don’t turn from that truth. #BeTheEdge
