After pondering this verse and visualizing what this person is like, I’m not sure I personally know anyone like this. We have all encountered mean people. Many times, they are going through difficult times, and it is reflected in their actions. There have certainly been plenty of evil people throughout history. But the reality of you and me encountering one on a regular basis comes down to choice. Hopefully, as we grow in Christ and in the wisdom He offers, we choose to make better choices in all areas of our lives, and especially in who we surround ourselves with.
