Proverbs 6:22 NASB

All of us are guided by something. It may be a desire for money, power, or lust, but whatever it is, our desires never take a day off. We must choose carefully what motivates our daily agenda. I am often intrigued by the powerful experience Jesus’ followers had standing on Mt Olivet outside Jerusalem, listening to the resurrected Christ speak His final instructions. One minute, He’s speaking about returning when they least expect it, and the next, He rises into the clouds. Two angels are there and tell them He will return just like He left, from the sky. I don’t see how they possibly lived one day from that moment forward without one eye on their purpose on Earth and the other expectantly watching the sky. What an incredibly purifying effect that would have, realizing that at any moment He would return. What do you want to be doing when that happens? Today, let God’s word and the awareness of His imminent return guide your thoughts and actions. #BeTheEdge

“They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”” Acts 1:11 NASB
