Proverbs 7:24 NASB

“Being rude is easy. It doesn’t take any effort and is a sign of weakness and insecurity. Kindness shows great self-discipline and strong self-esteem. Being kind is not always easy when dealing with rude people. Kindness is a sign of a person who has done a lot of personal work and has come to a great self-understanding and wisdom. Choose to be kind over being right and you’ll be right every time because kindness is a sign of strength.” (Unknown). I have been overwhelmed by the intensity and anger in some comments on social media – not just today, but certainly yesterday with all the goings on in our nation’s capital. I spent most of the day locked down working on the training The Edge will be doing this afternoon for our local police department. As I started to catch up on what I missed, my mind was full of God’s truth that we will be sharing with these brave servants of our community and found great encouragement in God’s clear voice. Regardless of whether your candidate won or lost, protested or attacked the protesters, or whatever else got your powder lit yesterday, I want to encourage you to find answers with your television off and your social media shut down. Look at God’s truth and dwell there. He is bigger than all of this. Today, let His eternal and infallible truth settle deeply and powerfully in your spirit… BeTheEdge

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.” Psalm 147:3-5
