Proverbs 9:3 NASB

The other day, I looked at a list of people who have sent me friend invitations on Facebook. It’s pretty long, but I don’t know who any of them are. One day, I was visiting with a friend of many years and during our conversation they mentioned they had sent me a friend request and wondered why I had not responded. I let them know I seldom pay attention to who sends them, and I was sorry if they felt ignored. As basically an introvert, I don’t mind not being invited to things. In 40 years of living in the Auburn/Opelika area I don’t remember ever having been invited to a fundraiser. I suspect there are multiple reasons for that omission, the fact I have very little money probably explains most of that. Every human that has ever or will ever populate the earth receives an invitation to become a follower of God through His only Son, Jesus. If you miss every other invitation you ever receive, be sure you don’t miss that one. God has graciously done everything possible to be sure you feel loved, wanted, and included in His family, and He has gone out of His way to be sure you know. It now rests with you. Today, review your acceptance of His invitation and if you find you never really accepted it, do that today. If you’d like to talk about it, find someone you are confident is walking with Him, or give me a call. #BeTheEdge
