“Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.”
This is a great message for anyone. It lets us know that everyone has the ability to succeed in this world. Diligence is the key. This verse says nothing about your IQ or your ACT score. It is not about being smarter than everyone else or even smart enough to make major business moves. It doesn’t say anything about being smart at all. The correlation can be assumed that all it takes in the intelligence arena is being smart enough to get yourself to work. Smart people can be—and at times are—lazy. People of average intelligence are often the hardest working. God is obviously expecting us to use the gifts He blesses us with. An intelligence in certain areas is expected by Him to be used diligently for His glory and the advancement of His Kingdom. The Bible is very clear that all our gifts come from the Father and are given for investing on His behalf. We all have a choice between being lazy or diligent. Today, choose diligence. #BeTheEdge
