Proverbs 11:20 NASB

Let’s spend a little time in the dictionary and consider the words ‘perverse’ and ‘abomination’. Those “showing a deliberate and obstinate desire to behave in a way that is unreasonable or unacceptable,” are “a thing that causes disgust or hatred” from God. Put me down as not wanting to be one of them. I truly believe there could be no worse situation in the universe then being disgusting to or hated by God. On the other hand, being His delight seems the perfect way to spend my days. The question then is simply how to be one rather than the other. Much of this chapter from Proverbs is spent pointing out how to live righteously rather than wickedly. As I read, it becomes obvious that common sense tells us the difference. Selfishness is at the heart of living wickedly. Christ-like living is the key to righteous living. That seems pretty obvious. Today, live as a Christ-follower and be a delight to your Creator. Nothing could be better. #BeTheEdge
