Proverbs 15:23 NASB

There is no more timely word than this, “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us…” (Jn. 1:14a), and this, “But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law…” (Gal. 4:4). You see, when Jesus was born, when the world was perfectly positioned and the road system covering the majority of the world’s population allowed communication worldwide for the first time in the planet’s history, God sent the message. The common language then was Aramaic, and this also made it the right time for the Gospel to spread rapidly. The Word, Jesus, was born. The Good News broke forth into our existence and finally offered the Hope and freedom mankind had craved since Adam’s bite of the apple. Today, the ability to share the Christmas message is equally available to us. I can have a conversation with a person on the other side of the planet (using today’s technology), or with someone sitting next to me in a restaurant about Jesus with no barriers in the way. This Christmas season let’s remember the reason we celebrate and recognize the signs and opportunities around us to ease into discussions about the One they represent. Today, celebrate the One who came for the purpose of redemption and allow Him to shine through you to the darkened world through which we walk.
