Proverbs 16:3 NASB

The word for commit in the original language used here literally means to “roll it onto.” In other words, we are to roll the burdens of all we do, all that involves our effort spiritually, and all that we need to survive, over to God. There have been few times in our collective lives that we have needed God to intervene on our behalf more than we do now. Now we are perfectly poised for Him to move powerfully to lift our load, individually and corporately. Many of the business and ministry leaders I deal with these days are looking for answers under conditions unlike any they have faced before. It is humbling to see the sense of calm and even-tempered yet almost excited anticipation of those who recognize God’s sovereign role in their life and business. Many recognize that they are right where God has them for such a time as this. People from vastly different areas of life – from my ER doctor friend, to my dear friend who is a high school principal, to a young stay at home mom – who recognize that as they place their trust entirely on their Heavenly Father, He takes their burden with all its potential fear, anxiety, and chaos, and replaces it with clarity of task and peace. Today, hand over your life to the One who knows it best, and rest in His plan as He hands back what you need most. #BeTheEdge
