Proverbs 18:10 NASB

During this virus crisis I am watching good friends struggle. Struggling not necessarily to get food, or sanitizer, or even toilet paper. Not even struggling with having to keep their kids home from school for a prolonged period of time, although I know that can be a challenge. What I’m watching is great businessmen and women struggle to keep their businesses going and their employees cared for. One of them, with over 3000 employees, told me before the crisis hit that if you don’t love your employees you won’t be in business long. These leaders are men and women who aren’t just “making a buck.” They are caring for their people and serving their community. A great truth of God’s Kingdom is that He doesn’t remove His followers from the same struggles everyone else faces. But, for every nonbeliever who gets cancer and doesn’t survive, a believer also dies; for every nonbeliever who has a rebellious child, a believer does, as well; for every nonbeliever who goes bankrupt a believer does, too. In God’s wisdom, the difference is in how His followers go through it. Right now, the world is watching how we handle this crisis in our communities. It is a chance for the world to witness the difference between how His followers handle it compared to those who live in fear and anxiety without Him. Today, let others see Whose you are by how you respond. Show them Who is your strong tower. They are watching. #BeTheEdge
