Proverbs 19:2 NIV

A quick survey on Google of “pursuing sin” reveals a long list that includes pursuing righteousness, the joy of avoiding sin, and how sin will never make you happy. Even Google understands that we really have no difficulty pursuing sin if we were to choose to. “On this side of eternity, we will struggle with sin, but we don’t have to run towards it. We should be those who battle against sin, not run towards it.” As Christ followers we will find ourselves in one of three situations related to sin. We will be battling it in some form to some degree every day of our lives. We will be giving in to it wholeheartedly and be devoured by the consequences of it in our physical, spiritual, social, and mental life or we will be dead. Yeah, I probably should have just given the first two options in this fallen world. You see as long as we live and there is a Satan there will be temptation to sin in our most vulnerable areas. Today, like Joseph in Egypt, run from sin and pursue the righteousness of God. #BeTheEdge
