Proverbs 19:21 NASB

My wife thinks I should focus on fewer things. She is right. I have narrowed my focus to three or four projects at a time. That may prove to be one or two too many. God is ultimately the One I rest on to determine my focus. What I have learned over a few decades is that He is never wrong, and His plans are always the right ones. No surprise there. When we consider the source, we will realize what a waste of time it is to ignore God’s plan for our journey. Sometimes it is frightening to consider placing the writing of our story exclusively in God’s hands, at least, that is, until we consider who He is. We are placing our journey in the hands of the One who created the future and knows it already. He made us and built the gifts and talents we possess into who we are. He controls everything from nature to the rotation of the planet. This is Who offers counsel and direction for our story. Today, seek and follow God’s sovereign plan for your journey. Then find rest in it.

“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 NASB
