Proverbs 19:28 NIV

Some pretty big trials going on these days. On TV you can watch everything from a serious trial to determine if a guy committed murder and if riots will terrorize a city to Judge Judy deciding if a ladies roommate had permission to borrow her car or if he actually stole it. Solomon is saying that if you are in court or just in life you better be honest in your representation of facts. Lying or deceiving about the facts you are aware of may seem expedient at the time but you will not get away with mocking truth. You might even get away with it at the moment but it will eventually cost you. “Deceit and transgression may seem to go unchecked for a time; but the blow will soon fall that will cause the worthless witness to realize that God cannot be trifled with forever. See Ananias and Sapphira” in Acts (RBT). God is a big proponent of the unadulterated truth. It is why Jesus refers to Himself as The Truth. There will always be temptation to shade or hide the full truth. Sometimes we can even convince ourselves there is a good reason to do it. Getting all of the story out into the light of Christ is our only choice. Today speak truth in love. #BeTheEdge

“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.”Ephesians‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭NIV‬‬
