Proverbs 2:13 NASB

When my kids were teenagers, we set curfews that represented our belief that nothing much good happened after 10 pm. We actually didn’t believe much good happened after sunset. These days, the daytime protests quickly become riots once the sun sets. The reality of physical darkness seems to be a lesser reflection of spiritual darkness. There is nothing positive in the realm of spiritual darkness. There is a reason Jesus referred to Himself as “The Light”. He knew we all live in spiritual darkness, but we were not created to stay there. He brought “the light” of His Kingdom into a dark, hurting, and broken world. Today, there are many places steeped in darkness in which a soul might find itself. As God’s children, it is incumbent on us to offer the only Light that can dispel that darkness. Thankfully, as author Steve Brown says, “the darker the darkness the less light it takes to overcome it.” Today, let your light shine for others so they may see that there is safety, peace, and love in the Kingdom you serve. #BeTheEdge

“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” Jesus (Mt 5:16 NASB)
