Proverbs 28:1 NASB

I don’t know about you, but I love this image. It makes me think of what Hollywood can do with CGI these days – sometimes it’s a bit much, but the majestic images of the lion in “The Lion King” are spectacular. In Rastafari, “The Lion of Judah” represents Emperor Haile Selassie I, of Ethiopia. I would venture a guess that most of us have never heard of him. In Revelation 5:5, we read this about Jesus: “Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah has conquered.” Jesus is the Lion of Judah. Today, as God tells us in this verse, when we live rightly, according to His call on our lives, we conjure up the image of the majestic, bold lion.  There is nothing in the movie is not awed by, respectful of or terrified by the presence of The Lion King. He is inspiring. A follower of Christ who lives boldly according to God’s truth and Jesus’ example may be 7 feet tall or confined to a wheelchair, but they still exude the power and majesty of the One they serve. The boldness doesn’t come from our strength, gifts, or abilities alone. It is the result of living in such a way that we know God is writing our story. We are the character, but He is the hero. Today, let The Lion of Judah live boldly through your story. #BeTheEdge
