Proverbs 28:13 NIV

Concealer is something I have heard about over the years. First from my wife, then by by daughter. I never heard much about it until I began to be around the film and TV world a bit. It is an important tool in that arena. By definition concealer…”hides dark circles, age spots, blemishes and more by hiding pigments and blending these imperfections into the skin. You should always apply concealer on top of your foundation so it doesn’t smudge. Oh, and less is more”. Concealing sin is an interesting thing to ponder. I’ve learned that there are two coverings or concealers for sin: ours which always fails because each sin leaves a trail. The second concealer for sin is the shed blood of Jesus. Although the image can seem a bit distasteful the spiritual reality of Jesus covering our sin is powerful and essential. Unlike our attempts to hide our sin, God’s covering never fails and makes us pure. Some people put a lot of effort into hiding their sin. It can wear you out. The ability to maintain a false front in a sin struggle can be successful for a season but ultimately it will be revealed. God has already released us from the penalty for our sin. There is no need to dwell on it. Today let His sacrifice cover your sin and live a free, transparent life for Him. #BeTheEdge

““Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isaiah‬ ‭1:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬
