Proverbs 28:5 NASB

Jesus said He is “the light of the world.” God’s truth really does illuminate the hidden and deeper things of this life. Without God, at best we stumble through life in darkness searching for answers and truth, and at worst are stumbling around lost but believing we really see. I’m not sure which is more sad, but at least in the first case we know we are lost, which is a prerequisite to wanting to be found. It doesn’t take a lot of effort to see that there are a lot of people stumbling through life claiming to be doing great. It’s kind of like watching someone standing in the middle of oncoming traffic on the interstate unaware of the semi barreling down on them from behind. When we walk in the light of God’s love, we will not always like what we see, but we will know He sees it, too, and stands ready to face it with us. Today, seek God and walk in the wide open-eyed light of His love and presence.

“It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him.” Daniel 2:22 NASB
