Proverbs 30:1 NIV

Ever felt that way? Weary but knowing you will prevail. I grew up playing tennis in South Florida. There were some very hot, muggy days as you can imagine. I remember many close matches where I was exhausted, dripping in sweat and fighting leg cramps while trying to pull out that last point. It might be a reflection on the shape I was in rather than the intensity of the match. But, seriously, there is nothing like high level athletic competition to show weariness but a confidence in being in the game with a great chance of winning. Rather than the defeated weariness some experience there is a profound satisfaction in “leaving it all on the court”. Ok, here in Alabama we might understand “leaving it all on the field” a little better. As we walk with God daily as “The Edge” we should have days when we feel the same. If you never or seldom feel that you have spiritually been in battle I’m going to suggest you are doing something wrong. Those who are living impactful lives for The Kingdom have a target on them, placed there by the evil one. The more you are living for your King the larger the target and the more intense the battles. Thankfully with that level of struggle comes the resources of the army of God and His promises are the guarantee of victory. How that looks and when it is realized may be uncertain but victory in the war is assured. Today as you go to battle for your King be sure you leave it all on the field. #BeTheEdge
