Proverbs 30:1 NIV

I did a quick study on the most inspirational speeches of all time. Steve Jobs and Rocky Balboa made almost every list. This one by Agur didn’t make any list. I don’t know exactly what gets you fired up but “I’m weary” doesn’t strike me as particularly inspiring. Not sure Coach Lombardi or Winston Churchill would start with those two words to get their team or nation ready for battle. However, if you are anything like me, there are plenty of occasions in life that these two words represent exactly where you often find yourself in your journey. Whether you are a corporate CEO or the mom of 3 preschoolers, or both, I’m sure you can own these two words often. Life has a way of making them come alive in most of our stories. Here comes the inspiration. With God in the middle of our story, “I can prevail” is what makes this inspirational. How about an ‘amen’ right there. Knowing that we rely not on our efforts but the supernatural power fully available to us as His followers will guarantee the outcome. Not necessarily victory the way we would define it but overcoming the way He would orchestrate it. Really isn’t that what we ultimately desire anyway. Today find rest, victory and inspiration in the one who loves you best. #BeTheEdge
