Proverbs 30:5 NASB

I’d like to make a suggestion. With just 2 more days left in 2019 I would like to challenge you to consider the incredible importance and value of being intentional about incorporating God’s Word regularly into the new year. The past couple of years I’ve suggested using one of the many “read thru the Bible in a year” reading plans available online or the printed Bible in a year version of the plan. I am about to complete another year of using the online chronological version and it has been very powerful to my spiritual growth. This year, I’m going to do the New Testament chronological plan so I can spend more in-depth study time on each day’s reading in preparation for launching “The Edge” ministry with our team. It literally means reading 22 verses a day in order to read through the New Testament in one year. As you can see, there is an untold variety of ways to develop the discipline for being daily in God’s Truth. This is a book written not to inform us (although it does), but to transform us. That is a pretty amazing opportunity for us human beings. Today, make a plan, get ready, and then prepare to be transformed.

“For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit…”

Hebrews 4:12 NASB
