Proverbs 3:3 NIV

I just sent a text to a friend who disappeared a few months ago. They left under very stressful conditions. I think they left out of fear that they were about to be discovered for some things they thought could perhaps get them in trouble or at the the very least create issues in their life. Essentially my text sought to reassure them that they were loved and missed and value. That the concern for them is about their safety and their health. And that we look forward to the day they return so they could see the love and faithfulness of their friends. I wanted them to know we would never give up on them. In today’s world it is essential that those we care about and love realize that our love and faithfulness is not dependent on their behavior or where they perceive their value to come from. Our love and faithfulness is a reflection of the love and faithfulness our Creator God shows us whether we are far off or close to Him. It isn’t based on us meeting His expectations or missing them by a mile. We all need reminders, especially from those closest to us that we are loved and valued. Today consider who could use a text, a call, an email or maybe even a visit to remind them that you and God love and value them. #BeTheEdge
