Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB

“All you can do is hide and you can only do that for so long before you have to get things you need to survive.” This quote is not from a criminal on the run or someone trying to escape Nazi Germany. It could have been but it’s not. This is from an immune compromised person trying to escape the potential death sentence of the Coronavirus. The heart of this verse is found in the word “trust”. At a time when money, power friends, influence, government, and even science and medicine cannot rescue you, we look to what’s left. Hiding and fretting is where many find themselves today. The opportunity to trust in anything from the list above or something else I didn’t list other than God has left them either fearful or denying reality, altogether. God’s followers have also found themselves stripped away of the things they trusted in as well. God plus… (something else) is useless. God alone is everything. God’s straight path is not only a direction, it’s a condition of our soul. It is peace and joy. Today, in the midst of a panicked planet, find and reflect the peace of your King. #BeTheEdge

“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” Jesus of Nazareth
