It is becoming harder and harder to tell who the men and women of God are in today’s world. So many people have been given platforms or have created platforms for themselves from which to speak to others. In trying to decide if their voice represents God, Solomon gives us the key. Listen to the voice speaking noble things. Speaking noble things is rare these days. The dictionary defines noble as “having or showing fine personal qualities or high moral principles and ideals.” I can think of people from the past who were known for noble speaking; I even know a few in my life today. These are the men and women God uses to cut through the fog of deception that is present at any given time. Media, entertainment, and politics, for the most part, are no longer represented by trustworthy voices. The voice speaking noble things seem rare, but they are here, and in a sea of lukewarm character they can be heard with some clarity. Today, be discerning about who you listen to, and when you discover the noble voices, listen.
