Proverbs 9:9 NASB

My daughter texted me this conversation she had with her 2-year-old yesterday:

“Me – Jesus loves you, Hallie

H – You not Jesus

Me – No I’m not. I love you, too.

Me – Jesus keeps us safe.

H – He has reindeers!”

I laughed for a while, then I thought of this passage in Proverbs. That 2-year-old is being taught the truth. Jesus loves us. There is no more important message for a child to hold deep in their spirit for the rest of their life. It is foundational for everything else God wants us to know, be transformed, and live by. It is essential that our life speaks truth and models truth to everyone we encounter. Our responsibility to everyone in and around our story is to help strengthen their understanding of God’s truth. There is a deep lack of God’s wisdom in the world around us and bringing it into our journey has never been more critical. Today, be intentional about carrying God’s truth into every interaction you have.

“Therefore, laying aside falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH EACH ONE of you WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, for we are members of one another.” Ephesians 4:25 NASB
