“The way of the Lord is a refuge for the blameless, but it is the ruin of those who do evil.”
In the past day I’ve been in conversation with two friends who are leaders in their industries and under attack for doing right. That’s correct, for doing the right thing. As I listen to what they did with an outside, neutral ear I’m a bit amazed that they are under attack. It speaks volumes about those above them. Over the years I have watched similar situations play out, even once in my own journey. Over time, which is the difficult part, I have seen all those situations become corrected and the ones who were truly in the wrong exposed. Every case I’m referring to involves a believer doing the right thing and God ‘having their back’. I know that doesn’t always seem to be the case or not everyone eventually has their eyes opened but those that it matters to it is universal a truth found in this verse. When asked I counsel those around these incidents, as much as possible, speak truth for the attacked person. It is a powerful thing to watch truth like, this verse, unfold. Solomon speaks often about standing for the poor, the broken, the orphan the widow and other beaten down and taken advantage of people. So does Jesus. Today obey. #BeTheEdge
