Proverbs 12:6 NIV

“The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood, but the speech of the upright rescues them.”

As a communicator you always want to have an impact when you speak. As a Christian and a communicator I would like it to be an eternal impact. As an evangelist at heart I would like it to help point from the darkness into the light. We are told of essentially 3 ways our speech can help rescue the lost. The simplest and yet perhaps most powerful way is through prayer, lifting them up before the throne room of the almighty. I remember while working in a high school in Pompano Beach Florida looking at the mass of kids roaming the halls and thinking, “how many of these kids have never had their name lifted before the throne of the almighty”. I began a process of purchasing a year book every year for 40 years and praying through it. The other two ways are speaking, softly and gently, to them about moving away from their evil path with God’s counsel and by sharing consistently the truths of God’s love and grace. The last two take incredible spirit led wisdom and discernment. The first is wide open and cannot be stopped or interfered with. Today be a rescuer with the power of your words, someone’s eternity may be at stake. #BeTheEdge

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:29‬ ‭NIV‬‬
