Proverbs 1:3 NIV

“for receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair;”

I love starting over in Proverbs every month. Like this past month I don’t always get to the 31st chapter and some February’s I don’t get the 29th or 30th either but I always get chapter 1. A dozen times a year we get the introduction to the value of Gods wisdom. Today I have chosen a verse that will be my theme for the next 30 days. With all that is pressing in on the world and my life personally “doing what is right and just and fair” are solid marching orders for me. For the next 30 days Solomon will offer clear, powerful wisdom for a prudent life. Interestingly, but not really surprisingly, “studies have shown that people who lead a more prudent, conscientious life can also end up having a longer, healthier life.” That sounds pretty good doesn’t it. When asked how to handle a challenging or unfair situation my advice has always been to do the next right thing and after that to do the next next right thing. See a pattern. Where David spends the later part of Psalms and his life on the upcoming glorious future we have coming with God, his son is giving wise and practical ways to live in the rough and tumble of every day life. Today join me in committing to what is right and just and fair and watch your life shine for your King. #BeTheEdge
