Proverbs 17:1 NIV

“Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife.

I have been on the Keto diet for almost two months and a dry crust still doesn’t sound all that tasty to me. Family strife can be the worst. Typically you don’t fight or argue with family members and write them off. That’s one of the beauties of how God created families. Throughout scripture God uses the family to illustrate how His children (us) are to relate to one another. Over the years I’ve served as an interim pastor a couple places. Thankfully the Intrem is not viewed as a threat and everyone knows he won’t be there that long. A couple of those times I followed a very divisive time in those churches. People fighting is never a pretty sight but God’s children doing battle with each other is an especially painful thing to witness. Churches often never recover. Thankfully God doesn’t make this an either or proposition. He paints a picture of His whole family together for a celebration feast with Him in heaven. What a beautiful picture. Don’t choose the dry crust. Today be a peacemaker and enjoy your family, both the immediate and the church. #BeTheEdge
