Proverbs 17:5 NASB

“He who mocks the poor taunts his Maker; he who rejoices at calamity will not go unpunished.” Proverbs 17:5 NASB

This is an interesting time, economically. I’m reading that the crisis that has been left behind by the Corona virus in 3rd world nations may be two generations from overcoming. That crisis is poverty. In nations that were close to pulling out of decades of starvation and poverty, they may be falling, or pushed by Corona, off that cliff again. I just read where independent restaurants in larger cities may never return. I don’t know what will come out of the other end of this crisis for businesses and people, but I know this, God is ready, through His people, to meet those in need.  “In total reality, he comes in the form of the beggar, of the dissolute human child in ragged clothes, asking for help. He confronts you in every person that you meet. As long as there are people, Christ will walk the earth as your neighbor, as the one through whom God calls you, speaks to you, makes demands on you.” ― Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

As you adjust your life to the new reality that God is allowing, don’t miss Him. Today look at those around you and see the face of their, and your, Creator and Savior. #BeTheEdge

“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’” Jesus of Nazareth (Mt 25:40)
