“Love and faithfulness keep a king safe; through love his throne is made secure.”
“Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place” (Zora Neale Hurston). There is one reason: the kingdom of God grew from a baby in a manger to well past 2 trillion in the world today. Love! Sure, faithful followers, powerful evangelists, obedient givers, and all the others who used their gifts in God’s service contributed to the explosive growth. However, all of those are the product of love. Not only because God loves but because God is love. And as a result we respond to His love by loving others. As a matter of fact we are clearly told that without love no matter how we serve God, we are no more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. You see, love is not just the mark of a Christ follower in pursuing positive times. It also is seen, maybe even more so, when seen in patience, long suffering and sacrifice. We walk daily in a world that needs to experience the love that burst on the scene in Bethlehem over 2000 years ago and quietly began a revolution. That revolution continues today . . . through you. Today be the message of Christmas. #BeTheEdge
