“The wicked become a ransom for the righteous, and the unfaithful for the upright.”
Remember Esther? Haman tried to trick the king and get her uncle humiliated and ultimately put to death. Mordecai, her uncle, through a twist of circumstances and God’s divine design ended up spared and Haman’s plan backfired and he got caught in his own trap. If that intrigues or confuses you check it out in the fascinating Book of Esther in the Old Testament. It is in that sense Solomon writes to remind us that not only is God our protector but the wicked schemers will have their plans against His people return to get them. It is a very dangerous place to be in opposition to God’s children and an even more dangerous place to be plotting evil against them. This sounds like a warning to a lost world not to attempt to harm those of us who follow our savior. It is, however believers have been known to plot on fellow believers for ill intent also. The caution is for them as well. Anyone who tries to hurt or interfere with the God ordained journey of a believer will find their life both physically and spiritually vulnerable. It is a dangerous and frightening place to find ourselves intentionally outside God’s will. It is infinitely more dangerous when that place of separation includes plans for evil directed at His followers. Today if you are at odds with a fellow believer check your motives and allow God to restore your love for His family. #BeTheEdge
