“The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.”
I am a member of our county planning commission. We recently went to work on a relatively controversial issue. Before we called each meeting to order, becoming an official government regulated meeting, we would invite any of those present to join us for a prayer. There was a realization that more then the issue itself, relationships from a close knit community were in danger of fracturing. The actual issue could certainly be handled by those leaders elected to make decisions for the community. However, there was the recognition that on a much deeper level God’s supernatural intervention and involvement was wanted and needed. Real success cannot be achieved without God. Those who would argue that can certainly make a pretty good case. However at that point the issue would really center on what we define as success. Getting our way or winning is not necessarily Gods definition of success. Looking as a follower of Christ with an eternal view, the relationships, love, kindness, caring for others, really define success for Gods people. Today get ready for battle, goodness life is full of them, but remember Gods desired outcomes and rely on Him for the victory. #BeTheEdge
