“who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,”
I don’t know a lot of this type of person. Oh, I certainly know they’re out there. The news these days is spending a lot of time covering the trial of a very famous person who is accused of everything from drug abuse to sex trafficking. I saw yesterday that a number of very well-known individuals are hiring lawyers in anticipation of their names coming up as participants in his parties and other activities, which were reportedly filled with even more deviant behavior. These men and women are described in this chapter by Solomon. Before being exposed, they surely gave the impression of delighting in their dark, perverse evil. I have no idea how the trial will go, but regardless, it is a reminder that we both reap what we sow, and that the deeds done in darkness will eventually be revealed in the light. The way to avoid the guilt, shame, and fear that comes with the awareness that our sin will be made public is to walk faithfully with our Savior. Today, live in the light. #BeTheEdge
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7 NIV
