Influencing culture for the Kingdom

Proverbs 22:11 NIV

“One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend.”

This is a nice description of The Edge business person. It speaks to the person who is honest and loves a pure heart. These are the kind of people we all want to do business with whether they service our cars, build our home or handle our internet we want people who say what they mean and mean what they say. Have you ever dealt with someone who is not this type of person? With any other choice you don’t go back to them do you? Well in everyday life we are attracted to this same kind of individual. The best friends, employers and even relatives, though we don’t get to choose them, are the same kind of upright, straight shooter we like to do business with. In other words in all of life it is the person of character we want to share oxygen with. This verse challenges us to not only act with integrity, although that makes up for many other shortcomings, a kind spirit or gracious speech is certainly the cherry on top. This makes one a pleasure to deal with and be around but it also gives them a place of influence on others. In our selfish world it is much easier to spot the kind now then it ever was. Today live the life of a clean hearted, kind child of the Father.

“For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭8:21‬ ‭NIV‬‬
