The wicked encounter snares and leave pitfalls for those who follow behind them. The impact on the person on the crooked path hurts that person and anyone who thinks following them and their example is a good idea. Want to live a healthy, productive and happy life? Know those around you, who they serve and only follow those who live for God. Snares grab at you as you walk into them and pitfalls surprise you where they are not expected. I’m other words, danger slaps you in the face and sneaks up underfoot. It cannot be avoided. First, because you don’t see it coming before it’s too late and second, because it is the unavoidable destiny of the wicked. Solomon, as he so often does, clearly tells us the formula. Follow the wicked and face disaster. Stay away from them and thrive. It’s an either/or choice. You stumble along the example of the wicked or you run with the Godly.
