“indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,”
Almost 20 years ago I stood on the top of the hill where our house stood. I cried out to God that I was helpless in my current battle. Inside the house my wife was in the last throws of a cancer battle. As Solomon talks about I cried aloud for insight and understanding. Maybe I was begging a little too. I learned a lot and saw God move through that time in powerful ways. A truth that I learned during that season of life was that calling out for insight should not only happen during times of helplessness but should be a way of life daily. Understanding that the depth of truth God has is bottomless should elicit a thirst for more of it in our soul. We are designed to search for Him everyday in every situation. The fact that we don’t is certainly a lack of vision and our loss. The by product of looking for God everywhere is seeing Him. It’s when we begin to live this way that we see him first and foremost in His word. But, we also see Him everywhere we look. We see Him in the sunrise and sunset as the creator. We see Him in the lives we pass every day. We see Him in the biggest and smallest of circumstances and recognize there is no such thing as coincidence in this life. We see Him and learn from Him in everything. Today call out for Him and see Him. #BeTheEdge
