Proverbs 23:16 NIV

“my inmost being will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.”

We live in a world of deceptive messages. We always have. Take a bite of this apple and you will have the knowledge of God. “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Gen. 3:4-5 NIV) Man did that ever upset the apple cart, so to speak. As a teenager I kept hearing Madison Ave was cleverly deceiving all of us to buy and do things we really didn’t want to. Today we hear about A.I. that will subtly change what we think and what we believe in our core, our soul. I’m thinking that’s probably true. A couple days ago I mentioned how important, truly vital, it is for the church to know God’s Word so well that we won’t fall for the subtle deception. This verse reminds us that, more than ever, this hurting, blind and broken world needs us speaking His Truth more than ever before. Today speak and live our God’s perfect truth. #BeTheEdge

“The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart;” Psalms 15:2 NIV
