“Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.” Proverbs 23:18 NASB

Some of us may feel like there has never been a more important time for us to read the first five words of Proverbs 23:18. We need a God-sized promise of a future. The next seven words coupled with them are critical – that the future comes with hope. I just did a quick scan of this morning’s headlines. Plenty of political unrest, racial tension, a pandemic coming back, even hand sanitizers that apparently can be fatal. Tomorrow’s news will pretty much read the same. These headlines are from the major national newspapers. I didn’t have the heart to plow through social media insights. A reminder of the eternal through the eyes of our Sovereign Creator is critical today. Actually, it is critical every day. The thing to remember as we choose what to believe today (and yes, it is a choice) is which viewpoint comes from the only omniscient all-loving God, and which is trying to push hysteria and hype. Today, listen to God’s viewpoint and find confidence there. #BeTheEdge

“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 NASB
