Proverbs 23:7 NASB

“For as he thinks within himself, so he is. He says to you, “Eat and drink!” But his heart is not with you.” Proverbs 23:7 NASB

Yesterday my 2-year-old granddaughter shared her personal mantra with my wife and me. After each phrase she threw a fist boldly in the air as she proclaimed, “I am strong! I am brave! I am smart! I am kind! I am beautiful! I can do hard things! And scary things!” I loved the boldness with which she declared each of those powerful statements. More importantly, I watched as her eyes blazed as she owned each and every phrase with every fiber of her being. My daughter told us they taught her this at a time when they saw her struggle a little with a couple hard tasks and without being taught it, she added the “and scary things,” herself. She believes these declarations with all her 2-year-old heart, and I’m confident she will move boldly forward in her life as a result. She thinks them to be true and it is shaping who she is becoming. What messages are on the repeat track in your mind?  Who planted those messages there? God’s Word has powerfully transforming truths about who you are, even as Satan uses almost every form of communication to tell you otherwise. At its core, God’s message is that you are the eternal, supernatural, invaluable, powerfully loved, beautiful, invincible child of the King and Creator of the universe. Today, allow that message to overwhelm your mind and shape your destiny. #BeTheEdge

“See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.” 1 John 3:1 NASB
